Located a 25 minute drive from us in West park, Redruth is Krowji – Cornwall’s largest group of creative artists located in a cluster of buildings old and new. The home for almost 200 of artists including ceramicists, illustrators, designers and an amazing guy who specialises in resin (formerly a surfboard maker).

Only open to the public a couple of times a year during Open Studios in May/June and currently for the Christmas one from yesterday 30th November (preview evening) and today and tomorrow (1st-2nd December 2018). Up to 50 of the studios are open and it’s a great opportunity to discover local artists, chat to them about their work and even buy an item or two.

A couple of our favourites were Alasdair Lindsay with his aerial landscapes and the very sweet bear & butterfly illustrations of Esther Connon.

A great way to spend a rainy afternoon in west Cornwall and get inspired to be a bit more creative – a session on the potters wheel and a glass workshop has been arranged!
